San Francisco, you are so charming. Undoubtedly one of the finest cities in America, and certainly a unique treasure we have here in California. It really is a place like no other. To cap off my trip there this past weekend, we ventured out to Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge, and I captured this very candid photograph of the structure, one not typically portrayed. Standing on the parapet of the fort, the cold wind was gusting in off the ocean as the rough waters ebbed back into the bay with the rising tide, very characteristic of the mighty Pacific Ocean. An intrepid sailor ventured away from the other boats comfortably sailing within the confines of the bay, taking on this massive river-like current rushing in under the bridge. It’s amazing to intimately experience the way the massive structure interacts with the surrounding environment and the forces of nature, something everyone should see.
