Designed by Swiss architect Peter Kunz, the Garagenatelier in Herdern Switzerland is magnificent example of how architecture can be incorporated into the natural environment while preserving it’s existing typology. Instead of building the garage above ground, the designer placed it below grade in a hillside with cubes extruding from the space to let in light and act as parking spots. That 911 looks pretty awesome in that cube, almost like it’s in a picture frame when viewed from the outside. [TodayAndTomorrow]
