Once in a great while there comes a man who’s genius and values are so great, he influences a whole generation of Americans. The principles of which Ron Swanson conducts his daily life have now been enshrined in the “Swanson Pyramid Of Greatness.” Some of the highlights include buffets, woodworking and facial hair. My best advice to you is to take down whatever motivational poster you currently have on your wall, and put this sucker up there.
Whether revered or despised by the masses, baseball’s unique character and profound degree of intricacy give it a level of detail unlike any other sport. With all these stats and moving parts, it’s only fitting that baseball be represented in a set of sharp looking infographics. Created by Englishmen Craig Robinson of the blog Flip Flop Fly Ball, these infographics help explain the complexity of pitching rotations, the alignment of teams in the American and National League, and different types of defensive positioning. Even though it’s just a concept design, the CMYK pen will be a handy companion in the designers quiver of tools. RGB better watch out because there is a new cooler color swatch on the block and it’s called CMYK
I once saw an ESPN interview with pulitzer prize winner and outspoken ambassador of baseball George Will, in which the interviewer attempted to transition the questions from sports to “more important topics” only to be interrupted by Mr. Will with the phrase “Stop right there. There is nothing more imporant than baseball.” This phrase emanates the passions of a nation of devout fans with team loyalties passed down from generation to generation. Baseball’s history, culture and unique personality are in a world apart from other sports. The Eephus League of Baseball Minutiae is website committed to the preservation of the many facets of the game to be enjoyed by all.

In Southern California we are blessed with the ability to live in an urban environment and still be able to get to the mountains for some skiing in about an hour. The East Resort at Mt High has had a distinct and rare advantage over all other local mountains boasting the the longest and steepest run with no terrain park, allowing for skiers and boarders to freeride the mountain without the slopes littered with jumps and rails. However, this year Mt High will be debuting its new top to bottom terrain park at the East Resort ruining the last great ski run in SoCal. I have designed this graphic to help bring awareness to the issue and keep the spirit of the origins of this mountain alive.
